About Crouch Vale

Crouch Vale Brewery was established in 1981 by Colin Bocking and Rob Walster, although Rob now has moved on.

Now to be found in South Woodham Ferrers they not only brew a number of regular and seasonal ales but also act as a wholesaler for breweries from around the UK.

Crouch Vale brew a number of regular beers.

Crouch Vale Blackwater Mild 3.7% abv

Blackwater Mild
Dark Mild 3.7% abv

Blackwater Mild is a smooth and malty dark mild which is full and fruity. The nose is roasted malt with some milk chocolate and red berry with a smooth and dry finish.

Crouch Vale Essex Boys Mid Brown Bitter 3.8% abv

A full bodied classic session bitter with plenty of malt and hop flavour, also described as caramel, grassy and light pine hops with lingering dryness.

Brewers Gold is a pale and refreshing beer with plenty of hop character and tropical fruit aroma. Supreme Champion Beer of Britain at the GBBF 2005 and 2006.

Light golden beer brewed using Amarillo hops to make it earthily aromatic and highly drinkable. The name comes from the Yakima Valley in Washington State which is where the hops are grown.
